Maltais Geomatics Inc. (MGI) is a mid-sized geomatics company with more than 100 employees in Branch Offices in Edmonton, Calgary, and High Level, Alberta.  We have openings available for Geomatics Engineers, both interns and graduates, in all three locations.

MGI is strongly committed to assisting candidates to receive their Canadian Board of Examiners Certificates and in assisting articling students to earn their professional qualifications.  We are particularly interested in individuals who would like to article with us to earn their Alberta Land Surveyor (ALS) professional designations.  These employees will quickly qualify for leadership and management roles in our company.

Qualifications:

• Geomatics Engineering degree or current enrolment in a Geomatics Engineering program at a Canadian university
• strong computer skills
• experience with static and RTK GPS
• some field experience in the oil and gas, electric power, and/or construction sectors
• understanding of cadastral survey systems and computations

Duties:

• report to Branch Manager
• undertake field and office work for oil and gas, construction, municipal, power transmission, and cadastral surveys
• complete survey calculations and data processing
• use Leica System 500 or System 1200 GPS for field work and data processing
• assist Branch Manager with operations management
