Maltais Geomatics Inc. (MGI) is a mid-sized geomatics company with more than 100 employees in Branch Offices in Edmonton, Calgary, and High Level, Alberta.  We have several positions available for Land Surveying Crew Chiefs in all three locations.

These are permanent, fulltime positions. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package to candidates who have surveying experience and who are self-motivated in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

MGI is strongly committed to assisting candidates to receive their Canadian Board of Examiners Certificates and in assisting articling students to earn their professional qualifications.

Qualifications:

• Technical School Diploma in Geomatics or Surveying
• land surveying experience
• strong computer skills
• experience with MicroSurvey
• knowledgeable about cadastral surveys and computations
• Standard First Aid, H₂S Alive, Construction Safety Training System (CSTS), and Underground Locating training preferred
• Petroleum Safety, Chainsaw Safety, ATV Rider, WHMIS, Bear Awareness, and Professional Driver Improvement training also desirable

Duties:

• report to Branch Manager
• undertake field work for oilfield, construction, municipal, power transmission, and cadastral surveys
• complete calculations and data processing
• use Leica System 500 or System 1200 GPS for field work and data processing
